On August 13, 2011, we received a very sad message. Morten Steen passed away while vacationing abroad. Our thoughts and prayers go first and foremost to his family and friends.

Morten was a genuine aviation nut, and developed Airpics.com using his advanced computer skills.

Many of us have a lot to thank Morten for. He developed, owned and ran the database from the beginning until his death. In this, he received help from enthusiasts, aircraft spotters and aviation photographers. He has given many fellow enthusiasts the opportunity to share their photos with others over the internet through Airpics.com. No other photo database has such a big range of pictures of Nordic airplanes and airports.

With his good sense of humour and quick wits, Morten is greatly missed, and we want to thank him for all the work he did for us through Airpics.com.
